Aug 05, 2009 – Orlando, FL – Now in its 7th year, the Global Peace Film Festival (GPFF) continues to showcase international films with subjects ranging from the human condition to sustainability and the environment. The common thread in all of the films is that they strive to make a difference. The Central Florida based film festival runs September 22nd – 27th with a special “peace” street fair and international pet parade kicking it all off on Sunday, September 20th in Baldwin Park.  This year, information on the GPFF and other peace related events are available at BullFish located on New Broad Street in Baldwin Park.

“We are so excited to announce that BullFish in Baldwin Park will be our official event headquarters this year,” said Heather Rybka, the local GPFF Event Director. “This exciting partnership will allow film enthusiasts to purchase tickets as well as see clips of upcoming films and obtain other pertinent information on all of the peace-oriented festivities. BullFish will also serve as a hub for filmmakers and volunteers.”

The Global Peace Street Fair will feature a variety of peace-oriented vendors/exhibitors (i.e., music, art, non-profit organizations).  In addition to the Street Fair, there will be an International Pet Parade for Peace.  The parade will take place around Baldwin Park and is open to pets of all kinds who are well socialized (pets will be categorized by their country: German Shepherds, Irish Setters, etc.). The Parade is free and open to all.  Participants should gather at BullFish the day of the event by 10:30am.  Vendors interested in securing a booth at the Global Peace Street Fair may stop by BullFish to register (or 407-894-3474 or cchiodini@cfl.rr.com).  (NOTE: Booth rates are $50.00 for for-profit businesses, and $25.00 for non-profits and Baldwin Park Merchants).

Other GPFF venues include Rollins College, Winter Park Public Library, the historic Garden Theater in Winter Garden, and the UCF Center for Emerging Media across from the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center, in downtown Orlando.
