Gold Pass

$199 (Gold) Passes are good for admission to all films in the festival. Seating will be held until 15 minutes prior to the screening time. After that, seating for Gold Pass holders will be prioritized but is subject to availability. Gold pass holders will also receive a festival poster signed by the artist.

Silver Pass

$99 (Silver) Passes are good for admission to all films in the festival. Seating will be held until 15 minutes prior to the screening time. After that, seating is subject to availability.

WHAT IS PEACE?

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 4-5PM, ROLLINS COLLEGE, GALLOWAY ROOM IN MILLS HALL Bearing in mind Martin Luther King’s notion that peace is not only the absence of conflict but also the presence of justice, our panelists will discuss what it means for people to struggle for peace in all aspects of their lives.

MAKING FILMS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 4-5PM, ROLLINS COLLEGE, GALLOWAY ROOM IN MILLS HALL SPONSORED BY THE METRO ORLANDO FILM & ENTERTAINMENT COMMISSION A discussion of the special challenges and the commitment it takes to make issue-oriented films, often telling stories that are outside of the mainstream. The panel will feature filmmakers who discuss their commitment to independent filmand the special challenges that face them.

PEACE PITCH: “HEROES OF THE STRUGGLE FOR PEACE,”A FILM-IN-PROGRESS

FROMVEROCITY AND ROYCOM COMMUNICATIONS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 3:30-4:30PM, ROLLINS COLLEGE, BUSH SCIENCE BUILDING ROOM120 Orlando-based filmmakers Dan Beckmann and Sue Stauffer present footage from Northern Ireland from their documentary about the unlikely heroes who fight for peace in the most unlikely of places. Theywill discuss the difficulties of following a story as it continues to evolve.

MEDIA DAY OF DIALOGUE

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 10AM-1PM, ROLLINS COLLEGE, BUSH SCIENCE BUILDING ROOM120 PRESENTED BY THE CENTRAL FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALISTS & BROADCASTERS The Media Day of Dialogue is presented to encourage an open discussion among friends, family, co-workers and strangers about how, why and where bias exists in the world around us, and how it affects our everyday lives. The purpose of the Day of Dialogue is to build bridges in our community. The Day of Dialogue will take place on a single day, where the initiative will saturate the market for maximum reach.

OCEAN CONSERVATION

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2-3PM, ORLANDO SCIENCE CENTER Jan Cousteau, distinguished and indispensable member of the Cousteau team in the 1970s, discusses ocean conservation and the work of EarthEcho International – the organization founded by her children, Philippe and Alexandra, in honor of their father Philippe, Sr. EarthEcho’s mission is to empower individuals to take action to sustain and enhance our water planet. She will be joined by Dr. Noel Brown, who served as Director of the United Nations Environmental Programme.

ACTION FOR DARFUR

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 7:30-9PM, ROLLINS COLLEGE, BUSH AUDITORIUM PRESENTED BY THE INTERFAITH COUNCIL OF CENTRAL FLORIDA Following the screening of Facing Sudan, local religious leaders from different faiths will be joined by survivors fromthe region to discuss what each of us can do to take action to bring an end to the genocide in Sudan.
